Title: Piebald deer
Post by: Okanagan on August 16, 2010, 09:47:17 PM
Or maybe it is an Appaloosa cross!  We saw it last week on Orcas Island, WA and I snapped a few pix.  It's a blacktail.

Here's a few from last year.
My Old neighbor is of the firm belief that shooting a piebald is bad luck.  He knew of two fellas that shot a piebald, and later they died.  -Stroke and heart attack. - I told him it was probably the result of two out of shape, overweight fellas dragging out a deer?   Alot of folklore attached to the hills around these parts.
