I started cutting up the white oak burl I got a couple weeks ago when all of a sudden these little black thingys started crawling al over it and the more i cut the more this burl started coming alive,well to no surprise this what they left me :madd: I had plans on making a couple calls out of this and maybe even trading some but it sure looks like kindling wood to me :laf:

James the stuff that is left in the middle is really soft and not turnable now that the chickens have cleaned the ants out of it I will take a closer look at it,iffen ya have some time stop by and take a look at it

The walnut maple and white oak crotch I got are all in really good shape and that is a plus
