And i wound up doing this........

While trimming the tail up I cut my finger...... Not too bad but deep and I bled all over the place....... The blood in the pic is just how much came out while taking the pic!

You're gonna feel that in the morning!  Anyone that's worked a knife is familiar with that mistake.  That sad thing is we worry more about the call, then our own digits.  Hope you heal up quickly Al.

als super glue is your friend . was cutting some jute for ghillie suit i never finished and sliced finger open like that and stopped the blood and a little bead of super glue and pushed the cut together and healed right up. Hospitals use a form of superglue instead of stiches now . hope that helps. My grandfather told me stories of his gather who was a blacksmith and the yime my grandfather layed his foot wide open on a scythe, his dad went and got an egg peeled the skin out and overed it with axle grease over the cut. grandad said next day couldnt even tell a cut had ever been there. 2nd hand account of course did it work???? I do know how to get warts to go away with a pinto bean... any body else have any old farm cures????

Yeah, thats going to leave a mark :eyebrownod:

Just a little constructive criticism, you should consider layering your turkey plaques, by using a small circle or other shape on top, to fasten the tail butts too, hide the cartilage, and give it a much cleaner over all appearance.

We did them this way for years, and for every one that went out the door, we averaged three more new client requests for tail mounts. :eyebrownod:

Jim I did not make the tail mount kit...... :nono:  I wanted too but he wanted this one so he could nail a plaque to the front of it with a pic of his wife and her first bird....  I argued but he would not listen...... I simply put it together for him.
