Title: warning to 1187 owners
Post by: Silencer on September 02, 2010, 06:38:06 PM
If you strip it down dont run a rag down along the bolt carrier/ housing with your finger.  That son of a beech is like a razor blade !!!!  I open my trig finger up pretty good.

Well let me tell you.. The predecessor to the 1187 the Model 1100 is the same way!  How do I know?  Ouch!  Welcome to the club.

Yep, I got acquainted with the 1100's idiosyncrasies several years ago.   :eyebrownod:

Also, it doesn't work very well without the little o-ring.   :innocentwhistle:

Dern you Vic!
Read your subject & thought, as fear gripped my heart, what could go wrong w/ my 1187. :sad3:

If you cleaned it more often you wouldn't have to scrub so hard & get cut so deep.  :sarcas3:

You guys clean your shotguns??

:laf: :laf:  My BIL has an 1187 & decided he only needed to run a rag thru there with his finger one time too. I just looked at him & said  :hahaha: Bet that one stung a little!!  :laf: :laf:
