Thursday night we had a Fish and Game board meeting and Roger came from shooting trap with "new to him" Perazzi trap gun. I am not sure since the gun was used, but I think it cost around $3,500 and needless to say Roger was VERY happy and proud of his Perazzi. At the end of the meeting I asked if I could look at it and he said, "Sure." So I picked it up, shouldered it, and handed it off to Chris. Chris did the same thing handing it off to Joe. Joe shouldered it a couple of times and then walked to an area between a couple of tables and did a few trackings of imaginary clay birds while the rest of us started talking. I was talking with Roger when we heard metal hitting the floor and Joy saying, "Oh, s**t" at the same time. Roger's face went to a look of shock as his head whipped around toward the sound to see what had happened to his Perazzi. Joe stood there with the gun in both hands, a big grin on his face, and says, "Got ya." Just a priceless moment. I don't know if Roger's pants were wet or dry when he left, but I know that if it would have been my gun they would have been wet.

Heck all my guns are purdey. :iroll:
Jerry shoots a Benelli M2 that is about 20 years old. I have looked at some of the J. Purdey’s at Jaqua’s in Findlay. In fact they have one there that I saw two weeks ago that looked pretty nice. I just checked and they still have it in stock in case anyone is looking for a good shooter.

I think Dave got some of the wood from this stock for his last call. I should tell you that there is a splintered forend so it has been reduced in price. Like I said, it will make someone a fine shooter.

Cruel Bastids indeed!! :sad3: :doh2: It's a wonder Roger didn't check his shotgun's pattern on some butts. :sick2:

But it was reduced by over $10,000
I thought all the fellas in Tenn. and Ohio shot Purdeys??? In the meantime Jerry, if you buy that Purdey, I'll fix the forend for you. Heck, I'll even carve your initials on it! -Just to say that I handled one. :laf:
If I was Roger - I'd have somebody's name on my To Do list! :mad2:
That forearm is sure splintered away to almost nothing! :innocentwhistle:
