How close is that water to your house I hate to see any one get flooded
Tell the folks down river from ya to open the damn dam and let some water through
It'll never get to me Bill. I'm on a hill, and a long way up from water level elevation.
Plus I drove for about 10 minutes to get these pics
This is our core of engineers at work. They open the gates they want, when they want.
:yoyo: Glad it won't get to you Jim!... Yeah they're blaming the Corps of engineers here for that bad flood a while back... took out the Bass Pro Shops... :sad2: They opened back up 2 weeks ago and I just went there for my 1st time today.
If you give that water the same directions as you gave Art then it just may go up the hill by accident :eyebrownod:.
:laf: Your still all bent about that?
I'm pretty sure there was no problem with the directions I was giving. I'm thinking you just had a hard time comprehending things.
And rightfully so, when the farthest you've ever traveled outside of the trip to Kentucky is one row at a time and measured in sprayer widths :alscalls:
Hang in there man, we'll get ya honed in. :yoyo:
Is all that flooding affecting your drive to work Jim? Around here when we had those bad floods there was folks driving an hour for a 20 minute drive to work. :rolleye:
Dont worry Jimbo....... Yer a floater!!!
No it's not bothering my drive to work for a couple reasons.
One, were shut down till this coming Friday.
Two, I drive the opposite direction of the river, to work.
Jimbo, Jambo, puddin' and pie, I hope the floods recede and keep your butt dry! :laf: :eyebrownod: :nono:
I'd say you're purdy lucky then. :laf: :laf:
Did that pink elephant get wet and the paddle wheeler sink?

Nope, If that elephant gets wet I'd have to take a picture of it from the state line bridge, cause it's directly under it. But I was over there too, getting gas since Iowa's is 12 to 15 cents cheaper, and it's close to the road but not quite up on it yet.
Well the up side is you got more places to fish! :eyebrownod:
Looks like WI is getting flushed. :alscalls: :alscalls: :alscalls:

Nope! James after the water receded the Wisconsin neighborhood yards and rivers look pretty much the same as before.. :eyebrow:

BTW Jim glad to hear it didn't get up on your hill and hope all that did get flooded recover quickly..

:nono: What a stump!
:alscalls: :alscalls: :alscalls: @ CCP!
CCP......... :alscalls: :alscalls:
I was wondering about you the other day when I heard it was flooding your way. I crossed the Mississippi yesterday and she didn't look too swollen, but I only see her every few years so what do I know?

I was in Missouri, so I don't think it's 1000 miles south and last time I checked the river ran south,
BUT I could be wrong. :eyebrownod:
LOL...yeah there's only like a dozen dams between here and there...so since that's not many and your so close, you really should have seen the flooding down there Bopeye :hahaha: I dont know why you didn't :doh2:  :alscalls:

BITE ME Jimbo!! Didn't see any Dams neither, but I ain't the expert on the Mississippi like some folks..........not mentioning any names Riverrunner. :laf:
So the dams just held all of the water and they didn't generate any to help relieve you yanks? They must be starting to read my letters in D.C. or God is hearing my prayers and washing y'all off the earth. :alscalls: :alscalls:
Now you know I'm kidding about that. I would hate to know anyone got hurt in those dang floods, especially my FNF brethren.
BTW, mapquest says you are only about 350 miles from St. Louis. How much is that in river miles? :innocentwhistle:
That'd be 11 knots :eyebrownod:

 Well we just had one knot give another knot a big BITE ME so it's at least 2 knots. Unless I did my math wrong.
