Title: another fire season done
Post by: nor-cal yote on October 09, 2010, 08:28:11 PM
Well we just laid off all of our temporary employees for the year, it was a pretty slow fire season. We went to 5 fires this year, 1 in Arizona (alpine) 1 in Oregon (Detroit) and 3 in California local fires. We did a lot of marijuana garden clean up this year, will try to post some pictures after law enforcement returns the chip from my camera, we hauled out over 20 stake side loads of garbage from multiple gardens.
NOW ITS VACATION TIME, I leave for Montana on Thursday October 28th at 530pm, One deer and one elk tag.

Glad to hear that the "work" season is done and the "hunt" season has begun.

Thank you for all the heavy lifting that the fire crews do.  We live in an area that is prone to a lot of fires, but as you said this has been a slow season.  In years past I have spent more than a few nights on our roof putting out sparks as they hit the roof.  Again, thank you for all the work that the fire crews do and enjoy your time-off.
