Title: One for the record
Post by: Bills Custom Calls on October 15, 2010, 06:40:22 PM
Yes my first fall turkey and my first turkey ever
More luck then know how thats for sure 35 yard shot she kept sticking her head up and looking over a little knob and I just timed it right and now it is skinned and in the freezer
It isn't a real big turkey but I am happy with it

Looks to me like Kurtis is happy, but I am not so sure about Kara.  I think her expression is more like "I can't believe I am standing here holding a dead turkey!"

Thats pretty much how it was but she stood there and held it by the legs the whole time I skinned it and when we brought it in the house she was right at the sink to finish cleaning and getting it ready for the freezer  :yoyo:

I think you are right about that  :laf: I think if your gonna catch a DISEASE that is a good one to catch  :laf:

I did miss one Saturday afternoon at 25 yards  :nono: and passed on one while deer hunting at 15 yards because I didn't know season had started  :doh2: until I came back to the house and checked the laws

Now that would have been a great first

Good job on the first Ground Buzzard.  :yoyo: Couple of quick questions. Do they always dress like that to go hunting?  And now that you have cleaned it, will you ever risk having to clean another one?  :alscalls: :alscalls: :alscalls:

I can't handle that smell. I could live with a skunk easier.
