Went and done a few stands this morning. The last set the wind was out of the Southwest. I had the Southwest wind going out into a cornfield. We were in the woods . The last set the birds were going nuts fling in circles. I thought any minute he or she will appear. I don't know for a fact it was a yote winding us in the River Cain but normally this is what it means.
Glad to hear your getting out LBLDOG. The couple of times I've set up this year the wind combined with the leaves that are still on the trees made for so much noise I don't think the sound was getting where I needed it to be. A little more patience needed!
I am sure that it felt good to be out and hunting. Next time might be the charm.
