Got couple BIG birds this morning, setup on the river flat layin out under burlap. ( gotta get me a layout blind, dang it was damp n cold ) The birds been working a field along the river where we dont have permission so we set up next to it and pulled the birds off the river on the flight up. These guys musta been sent down by Barry, there was not a bit of fat on them at all and they were good sized.
Only shot 3 times, got 2 birds.
this first bird was awesome, got smoked @ 20yds with a full choke of bb shot "boom" a big puff and feather and it crumpled right up !!! ( bb right in the head )

very nice birds indeed! already have dozens of recipes running through my mind as i was the one with the birds!!! hahahahaaaa
I've noticed a few more geese around here too. Congrats on the hunt. Layout blinds are nice, but they are more of a pain to carry around than that little burlap cover. :laf:
