It's not! :nono: It's not even in the top five most of the time, but retailers want consumers to think it is.
The Sunday before Christmas is usually the biggest shopping day of the year.
There's a lot of people in the stores the day after Thanksgiving, and understandably so since there's Christmas shopping to do and the majority of America's 9 to 5's have it off, but it's still not the biggest shopping day of the year, and certianly doesnt generate the most revenue. :nono:

Obviously created by one hell of a smart fella, as a ploy to get the women folk out of the house the day after Thanksgiving so us men folk can lounge around.
I'm Thankful for all you guys here at FNF and thanks for being here. I wish ya all a Happy Thanksgiving, and Barry wish you a Happy Thursday since you guys do it differently up there.
up there :alscalls: :alscalls:
Here ya go Barry  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Friday_%28shopping%29
It is a CRAZY day for shoppin. People get trampled :doh2: Some places do put out some
pretty crazy specials, then some stores have like 3 of there super duper sale items to get ya
there, so there's a line up of like 100 people outside a door 6 hours before the place opens up,
that are gonna have a free for all over these 3 items. :laf:
You can get some pretty good deals, but it's not worth puttin up with the crowds.
You guys are weird :laf: :laf:. Pretty funny how it come about actually. Thanks Scott, I love the learning I get on this FnSite :bowingsmilie:.
Quoteup there :alscalls: :alscalls:
My bad, down there and to the right.
Happy Thanksgiving!
:nofgr: The reason soooo many women shop that day is because they don't want to be around their old men on the day after due to all the farting. Aint got nothin to do with a sales pitch. :nono: :nono: They shoulda named it brown Friday. :laf: :laf:

Thanks Glen :bowingsmilie:. That was a lovely visit and your place smells soooooooooooo gooooooooooood :yoyo:.. The other guys must be eating.
I was cutting up a deer I ate so much I ain't even hungry for supper that reminds me I need to mix up some stuff to make some jerky
Hope ya'll had a good un!
I went and sat on a deer stand a few hours this morning, came home and winterized the house a while, ate left over chili, cleaned out the shop, and watched some football.
Better late than never, so I want to wish all you guys and gals a Happy Thanksgiving after the munching and burping is probably over. In the case of Weedwalker Ed, it may last a few extra days considering the main entree had to be barbecued coyote spiced with his special Coyote Helper. Yummy!
On a more serious note, I sincerely hope all of the FinsnFur family have a holy and joyous holiday season and a better year in 2011 than you have ever had before. With the help of the Good Lord, I apparently have finally fully recovered from the health issues that plagued me for about two months. I am down to 203 lbs from 227 lbs., and feeling better than I have in a long time. More bounce to the ounce these days, and I am pumped up pretty strong after my recent good week spent with Snowcamoman visiting and hunting with me. Sent that rascal back to Alaska with good memories of old Kaintucky and coyote hunting with Possumal.
First time out after Snow's return to Alaska represents the first time I have coyote hunted this year with a clean bill of health. Took my 14 year old grandson, Brycen, made 4 stands, called in 3, and he missed his first shot ever taken at a coyote, a simple wide open shot at 50 yds, but recovered and did the dirty deed when I stopped him at 125 yds. He didn't hit him where I would have liked him to, so no picture will be posted due to the mess he made of that song dog, but the good news is I have another dyed in the wool coyote hunter out of my grandson pool. Couldn't get him a shot at the other two called in, but that ain't all bad either, as he sure got excited and pumped up at seeing them come in to the call. I predict he is going to be a cool customer now that he has that first one under his belt. He can sure shoot on the bench rest, as good as his older cousins.
It was a good day with Friends & Family Barry. Our Toronto Friend Nick even made it down to share in our yearly Thanksgiving festivities once again. :yoyo: :yoyo:
