I'm curious if anyone here might know anything about old pipes? This one got handed down to me years ago... I don't know anything about it except that it's Ivory....that and she ain't got nuttin on but a leaf. :laf:
Looks to be an Estate pipe "A pipe that was used exclusively in a smoking room" Looks to be well used but the bowl appears to be clean. Off hand I couldn't tell you what it would be worth but it could range anywhere between $200 and $2,500.
There are several websites where you may be able to find a appraiser. In fact as a call turner you might check out some of the pipes and the various materials that they are made from.

I'd try a bowl full first just to see if it works of course :innocentwhistle:. Then if it doesn't work to your satisfaction it could be rebuilt. :wink:. I've watched a few sell at auction but have no idea how to value one :doh2:.
