Just thought this was curious... I went hunting this weekend... took a guy from a local forum here in TN... we were going through some thick woods... and there was this string...coming down from the tree tops....???? it went down to this little white box... went over to check it out.. it was a "weather balloon". Took some pics.. I've never seen this before but thought it was pretty cool. It has a self addressed stamped bag to send it "home' with... so it'll head that way tomorrow! It has some info to fill out (where found etc.) pretty cool I think.

Never seen one of those, but that is interesting as heck.
I see it mentions where it was released but I cant tell what it says. Where was it set loose at?

That's pretty cool Brad. There's a weather balloon stuck on a power pole on the way to my parents house. Nobody seems all fired anxious to climb up there and get it. :nono:
Glad you showed me this picture. Didn't know what it was on that pole until this post. :eyebrownod:
That's not something you see every day. Cool find Brad. :yoyo:

:congrats: I'm impressed Doug!!! I didn't think you could spell UFO! :alscalls: :alscalls: :alscalls:
Funny how a hunter finds a box with wires attached, he goes and picks it up to see what it is. If it had dropped in central park they would have sent in an army and had some robot go blow it up :whew:. Do you think you could trade it on Ebay for some hippo ivory :eyebrow:.
:doh2: What was I thinking! :laf:

We found one back in the early 80's with the strings attached but it was made of plastic. I remember seeing NOAA or Weather Service something like that and also very clearly it said warning radioactive. I cant remember exactly what we ever did with it. :wo:
