Hope you can make man
but with that I think everyone would understand :pout:
Were eating a little bit of that as you read this. This morning on the way to work in the dark it was merrily a guessing game as to where the road was, as the snow fell and the winds blew, before the roads were plowed.
That all ended by 9:00 am.
Then it fired back up around 2:00 and has done absolutely nothing since, but create heavier and heavier snow fall. We've got around 5 or 6 inches since 2:00 this afternoon, and it's not letting up a bit. :eyebrow:
According to the weather channel and Weather underground most of WV and KY will be south of the worst of the storm. Hope you can make it Glen!
Jim
Thanks guys. I hope I can make it too. If not I'll just stick around here & live for another year. We shall see.
Jim--It's supposed to start sometime around 10 tonight here. 1st the snow then ice pellets til sometime tomorrow before changing back to snow. 1/2" of ice expected around here as of right now & up to 12"-14" of wet snow. Pennsylvania is supposed to get it worse yet. I hope Vic & Steve have the shutters latched good. Severe thunderstorms with possible tornadoes further South. They don't say how much farther tho.
Hope you can make it HaMer!!!
It is gust rain now 7:50 pm . But it is going to change very soon . The rain ice line is just to the north of me . Slagemaker and I are still hoping to make it . We have been talking about it every day for a week . For now it still game on ! Hope to see every one sumtime Thursday.
I'm hoping to make it too Brad!!
Fozzy-- Best of Luck to you & Slag!! I hope you guys can make it!! :yoyo:
I'm beginning to think Art and I got really lucky last year :whew:. Hope your all safe and can make the LBL if you have those intentions.
:sad2: :sad2: :sad2:
Quit cryin and get in the truck and come on sis!
Want a southerner to come show how to drive in it?!?
WWW
You & Art drove around all the snow on your way home that we got last year while we were at LBL. We came home to about 18" here. :laf: :laf: Parts of Pa were shot down with over 2'. If I remember correctly pabrushwolf & his guys were hit the hardest.

You called my bluff, Damnt!
Be safe Glen! Hope you can make it Brother!
Sure did Doug!! :laf: :laf:
Only cause I knew it would work. :eyebrow:
Right now the radar has the worst of it well North of here. The snow aint so bad. The ice will really suck tho. As long as the power stays on we'll be good. I'm still scheduled for an early Thursday AM departure tho. :eyebrow:
Got about a eigth inch of ice on everything right now. Very unsafe walking out to the wood burner. Damm near fell and busted my JRB.
We are supposed to get about an quarter inch of ice on this storm. The one tomorrow and into Wendsday is the real powerhouse. Looks like an inch plus of ice then six inches plus of snow followed by 35MPH winds and bitter cold temps. I will be attempting to drive to Fozzys house in that.
My JRB :alscalls:
QuoteDamm near fell and busted my JRB.
:laugh2:
As of this AM we're looking good. Just a little ice. Today & tomorrow will be interesting.
Glen,
The snow might make it over your way yet today. We have about 5 inches this morning, but the heavier snow is scheduled for tonight.
Jerry
Is it a heavy wet snow Jerry?? Right now the sky is gray & there's nothing falling at all. I was hoping the little bit of ice we have could at least melt off the black power lines before it hit again. Maybe it won't tho.
:shock2: I hope they have their mud gear with em.

It was slightly wet - would be great for making snowgirls (like snowmen, but more interesting). There is enough wind that when the snowblower would throw it too high it would blow all over. But is was not so heavy that my little snowblower couldn't get through it. How is that for a description?
Jerry
I talked to Biscuit this morning, they had light rain and some wind
He said tomorrow is supose to be more rain and a lot of wind
If all works I am heading that way Thursday should be there 3 or 4 PM
My work just called and said dont come in today and they arnt to sure about tomorrow. I have been watching the ice get thicker and thicker. We have got about a quarter inch right now and the second storm hasnt hit yet.
sounds like you guys got some bad stuff :confused:maybe you guys better stay home and skip the lbl this year :wo: noooo not really i hope you guys can make it there :yoyo: :yoyo:

Gotcha Jerry!!
The little bit of ice we had this AM is still hanging on for dear life waiting for reinforcements. Good Luck slag & fuzzy & be Careful!!
Hi dave!! Haven't seen you in a while now. How'd your Dr appt go?? Great I hope.
dr said everything was ok, a couple of my numbers were a little high but probable caused by weight gain :doh2:
 Don't I remember a big thick prime rib on a Florida plate?? Was that in one of your posts or am I losing what's left of my mind?? :innocentwhistle:
:laugh2: :laugh2:
Take care of yourself Dave. We enjoy your fishing trips very much around here. :yoyo: :yoyo:
The ice is starting to build up now. Went out to warm the truck up,, have to bring the working stiff go get Diane at work,, & bring her home to cook supper now. My what would she do without me?? :innocentwhistle:

Well, round two of show (supposedly the heavy stuff) is now starting, but it looks like most of Ohio will get ice.
Jerry
The power here is starting to flash on and off. Think I will go out and make sure I have everything for the generator hook up.

I'll have you know I made supper this evening. :yoyo: :yoyo: We had yesterdays BBQ chops from the microwave. I fried some left over mashed taters & even opened Diane a can of chicken noodle soup. :yoyo: :yoyo:
Glen it's no wonder you can run a camera :innocentwhistle:, [L] you can run a micro wave too :whew:. I'm a mite deficient in these matters. :doh2:
I was gonna take some pics, but I dont think I can top Art's... WOW! :doh2:
But if it snows for another hour, it will be past the height of the windows on the front of my house, and I wont get ANY pics. :laf:
Ok...it's not that bad but it's getting a lil sketchy :laf:
Power went out at 9:30PM got generator hooked up and running at 10:00PM Wonder how long the power is gona be off? I am running on battery back up on my laptop. My generator is enough to keep heat and one light and thats about it. So this may be my last up date for a bit. Guess I will talk with you all when the power is back on.
:laf: @ Barry. The microwave was the easy one to figure out!! When you're hungry that is. :laf: :laf:
Get some pics quick Jim!! The winders are filling up fast!!!!!!!!!! :laf: :laf:
Good Luck slag!! I hope it's short term for you folks!!
This AM looks promising. The trucks are already out on the roads & the ice was mmimal. We dodged a big one this time around here. No snow at all. With these 36* temps maybe the ice will be gone soon. I don't care how much snow we get after the ice is gone.
Power is still off and we have some nasty winds and snow. 40+MPH winds. Got white out conditions going on at times. I heard on the radio it may be tomorrow night before the power is back on. I know that not far from me they had 17 power polls blown over due to the ice and wind. Last night sounded like a small war going on in my woods with all the trees limbs breaking. We are still under an emergency travel warning. They are tickiting people for being out driving around site seeing.
I am thinking about leaving tomorrow for the LBL instead of tonight. I want the power back on before I leave. Got my fingers crossed and hope to see everyone there
Well my power is still off and the generator ran out of gas on me. Had to run into town to get more gas and found out power may not be on till way late today or early tomorrow.
Talked with Fozzy and we are stil planning on making it I just have to wait on the power to be restored.
