On the drive out the neighbor gave me some cherry slabs and some other stuff and said he would save me some burls from the saw mill he has...

But there was more work to do..... found a cedar limb on the ground....... Had to get to sawing and sealing this stuff..... My back is killing me....and I had help..... so I need a break.....

Thanks for the trip Al. I can only dream of wood like that. Have you ever tied saplings over to make the curl for a cane?
I have some out there right now as a matter of fact Barry..... I tied some up today!!! Too muddy to carry the camera up there yet though..... But I will see what I can do later.... :wink:

I dont know why? They work fine for me...... (Photobucket) and I am on dial up so I make em small file size so they load better.....
I tell ya...... if it werent for my friends helping this year I wouldnt have been able to get the wood in this year by myself....... Thanks fellas!! you know who ya are..... :wink:
