I went to Kiem lumber on Friday afternoon and came across a block of this ironwood
First time I had ever seen it,so I just had to give it a try so I made a howler and a closed reed call.Yes both calls are made from the same chunk of wood

Comments Welcome
Thanks for looking
Nice calls Bill. Not sure if it's new or I just never noticed But on the bottom 2 calls I like the outside taper you put on the end of the barrels of those calls. Looks nice.
John
I have used the taper before awhile ago and just started bringing it back
Black Iron wood? Hmmmm I learned from Bill today......
A worm that'll eat ironwood! :shock2:
Them fellers have got to have some mandibles on 'em! :whew:
Good looking calls Bill BTW.
I hear that! The iron wood we grow around here is some tough stuff.......
