Good luck!
I am gonna guess Ohio
How many times can we guess
Bill,
I don't think it is an Ohio bird. Just like cars, Ohio requires a front and rear license plate. This bird doesn't have a front plate. Either that or it is a dealer bird or an ill eagle bird. :innocentwhistle: I hope it isn't Ohio since someone dumped trash along the dirt road.
Jerry
I'll venture a guess..... a pen raised Texas pheasant.
Jerry Someone had to guess Ohio
Since you pointed out the trash along the road Now ya got me thinking
That is probably a WVA driveway and that is a shroud off a car
I know you've heard it
If you have ever mowed your grass and found a car :laf:
Fos I have to agree with you pen raised
There is a feller here that does that, charges big money to hunt them inside a fence
Kansas, because of the grass???
Hawaii?

Yup! This pheasant was photo'd in Maui, Hawaii (May 2005)!
Jim,
You are so smart. You figured that out by remembering that the pheasant was not native to North America, but Russia and that the Chinese and Japanese really liked the bird. So the pheasant's natural migration would be to fly  from that area and the first stop would have been the Hawaiian Islands. Where else could the bird be? Al hail King Jim! When I grow up I want to be like you.
Jerry
Thats exactly how I figured it out Jerry
