I snuck up a frozen creek bed to access a field and woodlot. I setup on the edge of the field in the brush watching the field and creek bed. After about 15 minutes of calling on my Sceery AP7 a pair came running across the field one after the other. I wanted a double so I wanted to shoot the last one first. I waited for a clear shot but the last one wouldn't stop and the first one is getting dangerously close. I can't wait any longer and take the shot and he drops. The other hits Mach II going away. I yelp, ki-yi, and bark but she keeps going so I send two her way and miss clean.
He's a 38lb male. The hide is rubbed. Got him with my 243 with 55 gr BTs. One small hole in and one small hole out....this time. Enjoy!

Nice story and pics 222.
Very nice!
Pretty good sized one too.
What speed you shooting that 243 at to make an exact like that?
I don't know the FPS. I am using factory made Winchester ballistic tips. Black bullet w/silver polymer tip. I think the bullet blew up and only a small piece of it came out.
Cool, good shootin'.Don't you just love it when they come smokin' in. :yoyo:
Congrads! Great story!
