Title: Salmon does not make good nachos
Post by: Okanagan on March 05, 2011, 06:42:18 PM
In the interest of sharing our vast wealth of knowledge and passing on the verities we have learned in life, I will offer my conclusion that salmon does not make good nachos. :puke:   If we share good recipes, why not warn each other about bad ones?  :rolleye:

In a moment of brilliant innovation I decided to substitute chunks of grilled salmon in place of venison hamburger I had intended to scatter through my big layered platter of nachos.  The rest was my usual large grated cheddar, Mexican chillies and spices, etc.  Restaurant style large white corn chips.

It looked good, but did not fly.  Sour cream made it worse, and I prefer hot salsa without sour cream on my nachos anyway.
