For about a week now it has been raining or snowing or both
This morning I wake up to temps in the high 20's and frosty ,then as daylight came a slight wind started to blow and I am begining to see something I just couldn't believe could it be yes it is the sun is going to shine,So I knew I was going hunting and I was heading for a spot I hadn't been to in over a year.
I waited till about 11am to leave the house
While I was sitting there taking in some sun I knew I was over dressed.
I hit the rabbit distress a couple times and waited,I then found myself just sitting there and enjoying the sites
Here are some pics of what I seen as I sat there in the tree line
To my right at say 2 oclock that was where the wind was coming from

To my left at say 10

And then this feller showed up and this part of the field was about 8 O'clock

There is a groundhog out there and no I didn't shoot it there isn't enough of a back stop there and there are houses just a bit out in the distance
For my 2nd stand I headed up to an ol buddy of mine he is about 83 years old and thought I would see how he was doing and see about hunting there.
As I pulled in his drive he was on the John deer gator getting the mail he said he would be right in.He parked beside my pickup and we started talking I sat down on the gator beside him and we talked for about an hour and half and when I got up to leave I knew I had one of my best days hunting
When you can spend an hour and a half talking with a friend it is a good day.

You sure don't get much snow in a week of snow fall . Always nice to spend time with the younger crowd :innocentwhistle:. Glad you enjoyed. :bowingsmilie:
It sure is Jerry
Barry you messed up again
It was raining and snowing and sometimes we had a mix of rain and snow
Barry please follow closely
Most of the time the rain will melt the snow
Friday noon we had 3 inches of snow on the ground and as temps went up and the wind kept blowing the snow melted temps today in the upper 50's and wind causes snow to melt
Class over :nono: :nono: :nono:
Awesome Day, that's for sure Bill . I love to listen to Old Timers. It's not everyday when we get to set down with a Neighbor and just talk and not be in a hurry. I bet your 83 yr old Neighbor went into his House thinking he had a GREAT Day as well :) :yoyo:
He actually has a rug shop with a couple rug looms in there and was going to make rugs after I left He likes to stay as active as possible
