Well today our bus couldn't get up or road so Donald and I got to stay home. Right before chore time, Donald and I were snowboarding down our little snow hill and I seen a Sharp Tail Grouse come flying (well not really flying, more like falling) in to our chicken pen, so I slid down as fast as could and ran over to the pen where I seen a small Sharp Tail, I sneaked quietly into the pen and after about 2 minutes of sneaking through the knee deep snow i finally jumped out and caught the bird, I then brought it to the house and dad took a video and some pics.

After a little bit of adoring, and picture taking we put it out onto the road and it flew away. Amazing what you learn on a snow day. :eyebrownod: I might be catching up to my dad, because he wants to catch every type of bird in north America. :laf:
That's REALLY cool Bob !! He would have been great floured and fried. :eyebrow: :eyebrow: :eyebrow:
Pretty dang cool !
Pretty cool Bob! That's something that I guarantee most of us have never done.

That is pretty neat, Bob. I wonder why it dropped down in to the chicken pen. Food? :wo:
Purdy neat Bob!! Thanks for sharing.
Puttin the old sneaky sneak on a Grouse!! :yoyo: :yoyo:
Semp as I wasn't where I could see it happen :doh2:, I can only speculate here on what transpired for that sharpie to end up in the chicken pen. I figure it was one of two things, either it touched the power line that runs above the pen or it was avoiding one of the Red Tailed Hawks that have just returned to our area. As it wasn't hurt I'm going with the latter cause the pen has a Lilac bush along one side and a lot of birds hide in there.
Thats pretty cool there. Ive had them come up to me before and i was told they get all messed up and drunk from berries.
He sure seems docile dont he.
The Bird was actually pretty calm too.
Pretty neat, Dog Dropper!!
