Anybody seen any ramps poking through yet? I got a hankerin', lol.
I bought an FFA bacon at the local Ham, Bacon, Egg, and Bread sale. I figure on taking a couple pieces of the bacon, chop them up, chop up some ramps, and sprinkle them on some cubed deer backstrap, wrap it all in aluminum foil and cook on the grill. Should make some tasty samwitches.
Geez that sounded like an awful nice breakfast.

I would still like to find some in my areas. I know we have em and we have morels. I just haven't ever found any :madd: I do know that a buddy found some and canned em in maple syrup. man were they ever good.
Drove through a ramp infested area today at work, so I stopped and dug a coupla messes and dug some to transplant. MMMMM, the garage is going to stink this weekend. I'm gonna crank up my garage grill and cook some with some cubed backstrap. :yoyo:
