Title: More Osage Orange Fence Post Calls
Post by: Orion on April 03, 2011, 01:18:56 PM
I have two more Osage Orange wood calls for sale.  Great looking calls turned from the center of the branches from an old “hedge apple” tree in Kansas.  The hedge apple trees in Kansas have produced some of the hardest fence post around.  Just ask anyone who has fixed fence and tried to hammer a staple in one!!  These two calls have a little more character than the other calls I have made from the same wood.  The one on the left is a darker orange and does not have the iridescence like the other calls but is still a nice piece of wood.
Calls are $22 each TYD..

I was wondering where the term "fence post" came from.  :laf:
