I just wanted to clear a path in here :eyebrownod:
I been down to the river on an average of every other day, watching it flood, looking for Pike (which I'm finding none) in the cold water, and anticipating leaning on some largemouth soon :eyebrow:
Water temps in the mid forties, climbing a degree or two each day, and a few feet over flood stage
It's not...I say it's not going to be too long now.
Water temps are 58 degrees and the crappie are getting after it here in NC, Jim!!
Thats not even funny :innocentwhistle:
:innocentwhistle: It is,however, very tasty!!
:laf: :laf:
I thought the end of the world had arrived yesterday. The ole mercury hit 80 degrees :holdon: :whew:
It was nuts!
But I know it warmed that water a little bit more. So I'm right on your tail Shad :eyebrow:
Today there saying back in the 50's :doh2:
we hit the river yesterday and we are still about where we were a month ago for some reason. the river was all trashed up.
sounds like it won't be long till yer gonna be out there breakin jaws jim.
Have you been able to get out at all, Jim? I keep thinking anyday I'll see you posting some bass pics.
Out water is still in the mid forties.... and now the flood is going down roughly a foot a day.
Two things that catastrophically ruin fishing.
A gut at work said he heard reports of some smallies around the dikes. So if the weather permits, I'll sneak out this weekend when I get the girls. I'm not anticipating much, but it'll be time well spent
