My son, Dante, and I went out Marsh Creek State Park to try for some crappies, perch and bass. It was the first trip out in the John boat and everything went as smoothly as I could've hoped (no bearing problems/electrical problems with the trailer lights, etc). Should've had a better charge on the deep cycle battery - l'm thinking I need a better charger. It was pretty windy and I ended up paddling from the front (due to a broken oar) in trying to get back to the dock. Dante was manning the electric trying to keep us pointed toward the dock.
We both had a great time
Anyway, here are a few pics of the day.
We caught 3 largemouths, a handful of sunnies and yellow perch and about a dozen good size crappies.

Man, those crappie are pretty. I haven't even seen a crappie in years. Brings back memories. Yep, you had a great day on the water!
That young fella looks pretty happy :highclap:
Looks like a wonderful day and you caught some fish too :yoyo: :yoyo:
Very nice men :yoyo:
I think I'm slipping into a state of depression not being able to get any fishing in myself.
Nice! Looks like a fine day was had by all. :congrats:
Dave
Thanks all. It would've been a great day even without the fish.
