Hello all,
I thought I would get in on some of the spring squirrel season this year. Our first outing didnt yield anything, so I kept at it. I was hunting by myself behind the house, and the darndest thing happened. A few squirrels popped out right in front of me about 20 yards, I knew there was more than one, but was very surprised when I shot three squirrels came down out of the tree ! Must have been my lucky day !

I was using 2 3/4 shells, 1/14 oz shot of #6 and a modified choke. That combination has been deadly on the squirrels without excessive meat damage.

That is some impressive shooting and will be some good eating. Our season doesn't open until fall. :sad:
