Yep, someone did a very nice job there.
Most commonly the eyes ruin a good thing like this. Those eyes are near perfect. :highclap:

We have a really good taxidermist here. He's got a great hand for getting it realistic.

I may consider having another done if I get another coyote as nice as this one.

Bob, compared to a full mount these are much less expensive. This one was $75. Now the same thing is $175 which is still a bargin considering who's doing the job. If I can I'll get a few pics of his shop with some full mounts he's done.

This is her when she went from being A coyote to MY coyote. She's the one on top.

THAT...My good man, is either a JVC or Sony camcorder. I can't remember which. That thing was bulky and heavy as all get out, but by gawd it got the job done. It took the recoil of the swift nicely too. I haven't taped in a few years but I may start that project up again.

It's the shadows. Both were shot with a 40gr Nosler Ballistic tip at approx 70 and 90 yards and neither exited. Both shots were quartering into the front. Damage control was very little.

Every other coyote I took out with the the 40s either splashed or opened up the exit side so I swiched to the 55s and backed off on the speed. It made a big difference.

So what are you at, speed wise with your 55's? You got me curious now. :sneer:

By the way, did you make your camera mount?

The 55s are right at 4000. I've only had one splash out of maybe 50 coyotes shot with that bullet.

The 40s were pushing 4200 if I remember right.

This is what I came up with for the camera. Basically two reversed scope mounts.

Cool
I like that. I wondered if you guys with mouted cameras were buying or making the mounts.

Maybe I need to invent a hot shoe mount for rifles :sneer:

Todd,
This one was $75 4 years ago. Two years ago I had my badger done for $175. I haven't talked to Herb in a while but it may have gone up some since.

From what I understand though, you could easily pay a lot more for subpar work. We're pretty lucky with this guy.
