Man, do ya need a fishing partner? We don't have those tanks up here but we do have some pike, and I love to fish those torpedoes.
Nice lures too, with great movement!!!
Very nice :yoyo:
Are those pics taken over a river or a lake? Assuming a lake, but...
Your 3rd picture there, the structure down under the water, especially being THAT visible is a crazy beautiful shot! :yoyo:
:yoyo: :highclap: NICE fish Hidehunter! Those new lures look good too!
Those are some BIG fish.
Jerry
nice toothy critters. That's one thing I would like to hook into. Its pretty cool ya catch em on hand carved lures.
Very nice !! :yoyo:
Good lookin lures too !!
Thank ya guys! I'm working on a couple new designs for my lures. One is a broke back and the other is a glide bait. Also working on some bass sized lures.
Well I might be interested in some of those lures if ya start parting with them.
I should have some up for sale before to long. I got a couple orders in and I'm trying to get caught up.
A new Brokeback design I just took off the drying wheel a while ago.

What ya got in the green and yellow department?

Whats the leader between the hooks for? I never seen anything like that before.
I'm guessing in case they pull a hook out, but I've never seen one come out.
Jim that's a modified J-plug style call made by one of the call makers. That back hook and leader is just hooked in to a type of wedge holder, and when the pike strikes it pulls free. Works great because it keeps the fish from using the lure to aide in throwing the hook (My own theory). That thing hooked like 200 pike in two days on its maiden voyage. Tried to get the guy to make more but never could.
I would love to get one like it from this fellow or Dave. :innocentwhistle:
Are you serious or yanking my chain?
Serious, I'll see if I have a better pic.

ohkayyyyy  I THOUGHT I was seeing a snap clip on the back hook like that, but I blew it off.
Very interesting.
Didnt mean to Hi-jack ya hidehunter. I can pull these last couple posts and put them in a different topic if you'd like me to...just a couple clicks, no probs at all.
I was concerned about the hi-jack thing to Jim, but I thought it better if I could coaxe (explains ALL the pictures) him to making some like this. :innocentwhistle:
LOL doesnt bother me a bit, I enjoy reading the post. Was just studying the pics of that lure. I could match the color scheme easy. What type of action does it have in the water. I've made jerkbaits and glide baits but havent tried anything along these lines yet.
Well, it floats for starters. If I do slow retrieve it wobbles back and forth on the surface, with about a 6" wobble. If I retrieve a lil faster it goes from a wobble to a back and forth motion for about 8" to 10". Any faster and she starts to dive under with the same motion. I think with the retieval speed on the reel I have on the pike rod, I can get it to about 3' or 4' in depth.
In the lake I was fishing it in, it was almost an every cast guarantee. So much so my buddy about threw his rod and all his lures in the lake.
If I go fishing this week, I'll take it and see if I can get a video of the motion.
