My dad took me and my friend, Colin, fishing in a stream today. Here are some pictures that my dad took when I was fighting a fish. Take a look and see if you can guess what it is.
Here I'm hooked up

I'm not going to show any more because it will be too obvious so see if you can guess it right.

Big ol' snapping turtle??
Jim
I want to say a Smallmouth bass, but it dont look like there's much depth or current right there. :wo:
Actually I'm going to go with Smallmouth. It looks like there's a few deeper spots and I'm seeing rocks and stuff under the water. :eyebrownod:
A Smallmouth Bass...final answer.
A 6 lb rock?
My guess would be a turtle of some sort?
This is going to sound funny but I would say the 6 pound rock guess was the closest. The fish was about 6 to 7 pounds. :nofgr: :laf: :laf:
It was a carp and we caught two of them and a ton of sunnies. I wish it was a smallmouth.

Very nice Mirror Carp!! Some folks consider them trophies, as they aren't as prevalent as common carp. I like catching carp as well, as they sure do like to battle.
Brian
Quitew the carp you got there. Those things are a lot of fun to pull out of the river. :yoyo: :yoyo: Congratulations on a fine fish.
Very nice haul anyway :yoyo:
By the way where'd you get the Rapala hat? :eyebrow:
Thanks for the comments. I knew it was different from a regular carp, but I didn't know there was anything called a mirror carp. Oh, and my uncle gave me the hat. :yoyo:
:yoyo: :yoyo: Sweet !!
