Feedback for the poll idea.
Also an example showing the options placed by the Poll-ee (is that a word) are pretty much unlimited.
Give me the poll rights and we'll give it a try.
You could always do away with it if it does not work out.
I cant do that Aaron without giving it to the whole "Reg Member" group, because that's what group your currently in. Unless I create another group, put you in it, and then adjust permission from there for that group. :whew:
I'd like to let er run a few more days...As long as we can maintain a 50% ratio FOR the polls, I'll set it up Wednesday evening.
I can see the pros, what are the cons to this action?
The cons would be;
- The actual evaluation still being limited to visuals
- Poll responses will be limited to what the users chooses for answers to the poll
- Since the poll is anonymous the ability to discuss a particular with a viewer will be gone (unless he/she comes forth)
The con's, as I see them, are...
Each call maker has a vision of what he wants to be, what he wants them to look like. He turns them to suit his eye, and his own personal critque is what drives changes to his calls, improvements, little things that to him, make the call better, prettier, more durable....
The danger, is that we will start designing calls by committee. Doing what others want, or like, and we lose our own creativity somewhat.
For some, this may really work out, but for others, it may prove to be nothing more than a quick road to producing a saleable call.
I hope it works out for those who want to get honest feedback, and that it does not turn into a sort of focus group to desinging calls that strips the call makers vision and creativity.

Unless someone strongly opposes this, I'll get er set up today.
Ok, this should be all good to go.
Members will have to have "Reg Member" status or higher to post a poll.
The poll feature is currently only accessible to you in this forum (Game Calls)....I think  Need someone to conform that for me.
The poll button should appear on the right side of your screen, when your in here viewing a list of threads. One on the top of the listed threads, and one below the listed threads.
Once you enter a thread you lose the poll button, UNLESS it's your thread. In which case the poll button near the bottom remains. Reason being,.... you wont be allowed to add a poll to someone elses thread.
In response to your "Need someone to confirm it" it seems to be working from here. I went to several of the different forums and it only appears in the "Game Calls" forum.
I didn't want to be the first to post a poll so I'll let someone else do that.
I may post one up later.
Looks good.
Richard
Thanks Richard...
They're easy as pie to set up, pretty clearly self explained. If anyone's got issues or questions, let me know.
