Title: and my first hooter....
Post by: superdirt on August 07, 2011, 07:27:26 PM
Ok, so I was a lil bored today. Stayed in the shop where it is cool.
My first try at it........wormy pecan with a ton of ca for the finish. Got too much volume, but not quite the right tone.......still working on it. Think maybe my sound chamber is a lil big. Stuffed some paper towel in it to muffle it down a lil.

Those look nice, but I always like my Hooters to be a little more uniform in size and shape.   :innocentwhistle:

Try restricting the exhaust a bit.   Not much, but if you are over 3/8" on the exhaust, you might not have enough back pressure.   That long, and you might need to go down to 1/4".

What is the exhaust bore diameter?

Hey Al, the inside of the exhaust is 1".. but the exhaust hole is only a 1/4. Wondering if the sound chamber is too large?
