In the past two days we've feasted on fresh cherries, fresh green beans, my first apricot cobbler of the year (love it tart, with French Vanilla), first fresh corn on the cob, and first sockeye. We passed on a bunch of other fruit and veggies at the roadside farmer stands. Everything is a month late here, just getting ripe. I flat out love the eating this time of year. Huckleberries will be ripe soon. Blackberries starting to ripen. Had to wash my fingers to touch the keyboard!
MMMMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm GOOD!! :yoyo: :yoyo:
The sweet corn I planted late won't be ready for a couple more weeks but the cantaloupe will be very soon.
My favorite too....especially for the sweet corn. I found some Amish sweetcorn that is so good it almost gives you a toothache :eyebrow:
