Thought I'd post a couple pics of this call up... got this wood from bacon nut... sent it off to have stabilized and turned a call from it... the pics don't do the wood grain justice, it's some very pretty stuff. Thought Bill might like to see what I did with it. It's an Oak Burl barrel with an Elk antler bead, followed with one of my o-ring fitted stabilized antler toneboards... Ca finish inside and out.
Guess I'm a bit goofy but I sort through toneboards I have made up to try to match 'em up... I thought the black spots in each and the bit of yellowing in the toneboard matched up pretty well. You can see the black spots in the rotating pic (right profile)

I have about 60 pounds of that stuff to cut up but it kinda scares me a bit
