Title: Bringing the mobile mancave.
Post by: jeremy on December 26, 2011, 08:05:31 PM
Well missed out on the cabins so looks like its time to bring out the ol' rv.  There will probably be 2 rv's in our party. I am surprised that i havent seen more of the sites taken.

What are the other options since the cabins are full, don't have an rv and don't want to sleep,in a tent in February.? I would love to go, does anyone know the closest hotel and if its within reasonable driving ?? If I can get everything in order and mainly a place to stay, I would also be willing to tie up a couple lanyards to donate ( I'm thinking yall do a drawing?)

There is a hotel in I think Paducka which is about 10 or so miles away. If I am not mistaken it's a Knight's Inn. We stayed there one time for a night, not that bad a drive to the camp ground.

titansfan2104, there's a thread running here (http://forum.finsandfur.net/index.php?topic=15297.0) on the things that have been donated for a drawing.

Shoot CCP a PM or email him at ccp@finsandfur.net and he'll fix ya up.

Anyone have a Google maps shot of the campgrounds that everyone is staying at or maybe a physical address . That way I can try and plan my route and where I'm sleeping at night. :) I'm literally lost and don't have a clue about lbl or hunting the area. If I make it I might have to get a crash course or be a tag along with someone that doesn't mind!!

Go to google Earth & type in Land between the Lakes.  Zoom in & find Canton, Ky. Due west a short distance you will see Golde Pond. Due South 3.69 mile you will see the Campground everybody meets at. I think Bop & Chet stay at a hotel around Canton but I'm not certain of that. Maybe they will help you out with that.
