WV is the Greatest!
AWESOME!!!! :yoyo: :highclap:
Wow!...that was absolutely incredible. :congrats:
How in the heck would you coordinate something like that, let alone train for it?
That was really well performed and a great tribute to those who serve or have served. The band obviously has spent some time perfecting that half-time show.
Cathryn - welcome back!
Jim - the shows used to be laid out on graph paper by the leader or in this case leaders. Then they review it with the members of the band. Each band member has a "spot" on the field that they need to be "at" at precise times. If it is a formation shift they also go over "how" each member gets to that spot. It is somewhat confusing when someone starts band, but the students on the field there have all probably had at least 6 years of marching experience - not that it makes the show any easier, just that they know what is happening from the start. I said "used to be laid out on graph paper" but now (for many schools) it is computer generated. I know more information than you needed, but my brother-in-law is a retired band director. Anyway, the band did a very good job of execution of the show.
Jerry
Excellent!! :yoyo: :yoyo:
You made it sound even tougher then I suspected Jerry :laf:
