The St Francis Mid-West Calling Contest is over and the numbers are in the book for 2012. It was a tough weekend of hunting due to high winds all day Saturday in the area around NW Kansas. This year I made a limited number (20) of open reed collectors calls for the contest. The calls are made from black walnut and have a yellow decal and toneboard and are numbered X/20. I also made 5 matching closed reed calls, there only 2 remaining. This is the fifth year for the ORION St Francis calls and there are a very limited number of the 2008-2011 calls available.
