I need a little more to go on other then, "it just can't read them or just not able to".
Do you get any errors? Does the computer shut off? Does the bathroom light flicker?

What exactly happens when you try to download the clips?

Using the same camera i take pics with i turn the knob to Video shoot a clip bring the camera to the puter plug it in and then turn it on The Bathroom light flickers just a bit  :nono:
Then a window pops up with choices Import pics, view pics, add files, copy disc, I have always used view pics
Then widows photo gallery comes up that is where i crop my pics and do some adjusting then copy and paste them to the desk top still no problem with pics other then the feller on the back side of the camera as I flip through the pics when I come across a video instead of seeing the video the words This Video can not be displayed clic the arrow and the next pic comes up
Does this help any

Yeah that helps a lot. Exactly what I wanted.

Well this might sound ridiculously obvious, but I have to ask. Have you tried clicking the video and downloading it from the camera like you would a picture, despite the fact that it says it cannot display the video?
Because I'm wondering if the reason it cannot display it, is because of the mode you have the camera in during downloading.

What file type did the camera/computer used to save the clips as? IE;  .mov?  .wmv?  .flv?  etc etc
And, whatever type is was, are you able to download one of those files... from say somewhere else and view it on the computer?

So that narrows it down to the computer and not the camera.
But you cheated me again on the info regarding the downloaded file not playing. I got to milk you again for some more information.
When you tried to play the AVI file did the bathroom light flicker? Did it load but not play? Did it just set there and act like you never clicked anything at all? Did it start to play and quit? Did it throw an error? Talk to me, dont be bashful.

I tried to copy the file and paste it to the desk top and when I double clicked the Icon it went to media player but nothing would play No error  no nothing Just hang around and keep talking to me cause I may have part of it fixed
I just saved a video to my desk top and it played from there I am now putting it in photobucket to see if it will play from there if it does I will post it here in the call section

I'm gonna bet that anything you save will play.
There's most likely your problem, you cant copy and paste a media file like that from one device to another instead of saving it, and expect it to retain it's formatting.
Certain systems may...but I have to say I've never seen one.
