Hey BigB,
Will this one do it for ya?
That one will work out great! Thanks Rich. Let me know how much I owe ya. Looks like a good ole black beauty Cronk howler!!!
Brian
I polished it up a little more today.

Wow! That's anice looking howler! Bet it toots good!
Jim
They do. I have one of Rich's buffalo horns and it is very nice.

I recently stumbled on a little trick which made a Big difference. There are absolutely zero tone breaks on either of the above howlers. The realistic tone is everything when it comes to coyote howlers. Thanks for the kind words fellows, I appreciate them.
That built in tone break is why I got rid of the Cronk howler I had. I just could not blow the thing. Glad to see after all these years you finally got your design figured out, Rich.

Semp,
All of my calls have always been one hundred percent satisfaction guaranteed. You should have sent it back for a refund instead of complaining to the whole world about it on a public forum like you just did.
Thank you very much. :doh2:
BigB,
I need your shipping address. Your in-box is full, so couldn't send you a private message.
So you think I'm the only one who's had a problem with your howler? :alscalls:
Can't speak for you, Semp, but I have never had a problem with a Cronk call of any kind. Considering the fact that Rich tests and tones the calls personally, it makes it highly unlikely that you'll have a problem. If you do have a problem, but choose not to take advantage of the guarantee, whose fault is that?
"So you think I'm the only one who's had a problem with your howler?"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nope! In the over 25 years of howler building, I remember four complaints. I fixed the problem on three of those, and the fourth customer decided to keep the howler he had. I take care of my customers. Now I have had problems with new cars and pickup trucks over the years, but I took them back to the dealer and gave them a chance to fix the problems. You chose to get rid of your new howler rather than bring your complaint to ME. Then you come on a public forum and bitched. Your choice, not mine. You showed everyone who reads this board just the kind of person you are. Your problem now Semp.
Four complaints in 25 years?? :alscalls: Selective short memory me thinks.
As for posting on a public forum, you chose to post about your howler to BigB rather than use a private message so you could promote your call to the unknowing masses. In the interest of fair and balanced disclosure (aka Fox News), I chose to give the other side of the story.
Possumal, you told me on KY hunting site that you used dentures with one tooth to blow Cronk's howler. To which I respectfully declined to knock my teeth out to blow the dayum thing. :alscalls:
Why is it that the guys who win national coyote vocalization contests use modified E.L.K. Power Howlers or mouth diaphragm calls and not your open reed door stops? There is a lesson there somewhere.
You are an idiot Semp. I choose to ignore all of your future post's.
Nice comeback, Rich. So now you resort to name calling. Yet I didn't call you any nasty names. Remember the old saying about "sticks and stones"?
Take a chill pill and :panties:
Sounds to me like Semp is too 'simple' to figure out the ins and outs of an open reed howler.
They used 'modified' Power Howlers. Apparently, Don Laubach couldn't get it right the first time.
So good 'ol Cronk has called on his fan boy KillerCaller! to do battle for him. Gonna tag team me, huh?. :alscalls:
Let's see now.......you had 3 posts on FnF in all of 2011 with the last time being back in November when you said
QuoteThat is one heck of a piece of equipment there, Mr. Cronk!
Obviously you are not biased in any way. :alscalls:
Even your name is taken after Cronk's Killer Call open reed call. :laf: Lots of credibility there for sure.

So are you saying that Cronk howlers have won the world championships? That's hard to believe but then people used to use crank telephones and pagers too.
By the way, are you part of the FoxPro mafia? If not, you should apply. I think you would fit right in. ;yes;
'Simp', appreciation of a call or a call maker is wrong? Sorry, I wasn't informed of that fact.
99% of all calls have a skip to them and so do real coyote howls, if you're too much of a tool to work past that, that's your problem, boy. Adios AMIGO.
I can believe that 99% of all Cronk's calls have a skip-pa-dee-doo break in them. But I don't know that for a fact because the only Cronk call I've had was the howler.
It's kinda strange that I've never had a problem with a Crit'R Call standard or pee wee or some other custom call makers. :wo:
Adios, sayonara, and zai jian to you too. Be sure to post again in another 6 months and let us know how the Cronk fan club is doing. :yoyo:
When you compare a Crit'R call Pee Wee and Standard to a full size howler it shows just how ignorant you are. All of the Cronk calls I have are smooth and make great sounds, no problems.
Try a Red Desert Howler, a Zepp Kill Pole, a Sceery Dual Chamber, an Austin Howler, they all have built in pitch breaks. If you can't navigate an open reed, stick with your beloved condom howlers. See ya in 2013, when something else interesting comes up on this board.

Oh, well now ya went and crossed the line !!!!! :argh:
Damn kids can't play nice :laf: :laf:
Are you guys playing nice in here?
Can I get anybody anything?
I don't have any problems using of the Cronks I have. And when it comes to horn howlers I prefere the one piece designs.
I am glad you guys love your Cronk howler. The tone break was a deal breaker for me so it went to the crap pile. The new guys who read these atta boy threads about how great the Cronk howler is need to hear a dissenting voice once in a while so they can make an informed decision before plopping down $60+ for a call they will rarely, if ever, use.
Cronk himself acknowledged he had tone break problems. So Cronk says
QuoteI recently stumbled on a little trick which made a Big difference. There are absolutely zero tone breaks on either of the above howlers.
Well now, that new "stumbling" should put the rest of the howler makers out of business. I'm proud for Cronk. :congrats: But I won't be buying one of them.
"Cronk himself acknowledged he had tone break problems."

Now THAT is an out and out LIE. I will be speaking with my Attorney about possible legal action against this guy.
Jim Champion,
Do you actually allow such attacks over here? I will not tolerate it.
Rich
So now you are calling me a liar. Previously, you called me an idiot. I think you are the one who needs to worry about being sued for libel.
You are the one who said you stumbled on a way to eliminate tone breaks. Therefore there MUST have been one there to BEGIN WITH!
So when someone doesn't like your product you threaten legal action. Pathetic, just pathetic.

Jim Champion,

Rich
It's not that I allow such attacks Rich, it more a case of I try not to censor what is suppose to be an open public forum.
I'll typically step in if the language gets a little too fowl, or if the situation seems to be escalating to the point where someone's safety is publicly threatened.
But dont take me wrong, I'm not condoning what is being said by either party here, and on the same hand I cant allow members to put me in the position to play favorites or choose sides. Thats not what I'm about, and pulling me into this as the bad guy for not offering protection is a bit disrespectful to me.
You've got a world reknown reputation with your calls, I can testify to that personally because
I'm the one that has to try and figure out how to get your site to accept payments from such a wide variety of overseas country's, remember? And you certainly do not have any trouble selling to repeat customers, and referrals, I'm aware of that also.
So if your going to let one guys opinion on a product burn bridges for you, then the issues are much deeper then me being an alleged piss poor forum manager.
Reality check;
Remember this post of yours?

Al,
I know what you mean about some of the sounds not being the best. I had a list of a few sounds that I thought should be eliminated, so I talked to Steve about it. I guess that some sounds that one guy thinks is terrible, turn out to be another guys favorite. I suppose it is like fishing lures. The lure that I threw away because I knew it was junk, is favorite lure for someone else.
It's the same thing here Rich, it's just the opinion of one guy.
Jim,
I see it differently. This guy has slandered both myself and my calls. This could harm my reputation as a call maker. If you can't help me stop him, maybe my Attorney can help.
I wouldn't lose any sleep over it Rich, he just doesn't like your calls with a lil extra passion. :innocentwhistle: I don't think it'll ruin your reputation or that of your howlers at all. Its really just one guys opinion, nothing else.
Let your howlers and personal conduct speak for them selves.
When I was looking at getting a howler a couple of months ago I looked at some of the more expensive ones, but couldn't see paying $60-$100 for one. So decided to try a diaphragm howler first, best $10 I ever spent.
I have a suggestion.
Rich, how about you come down to the next LBL hunt. There will be probably 40-50 hunters there and a lot of them will be new guys. I'm sure they would welcome the chance to see and talk with one of the old timers of the coyote calling sport. You could demonstrate your howler as well as your other calls. I'm sure you would sell some and also get a chance to put a face to some of these screen names you see.
What do you think?

Semp,
Does this mean that we are friends again? If I thought that we couldn't be friends anymore, I just don't know if I could bare it.
Of course we are friends, Rich. I never thought any different. Ever since you went on the KY hunting site looking for a picture of me I thought we were best friends. Do you still have it in your wallet? If not I'll send you another one.
We just like to argue once in awhile as friends sometimes do.
I hope you do consider coming to the LBL hunt. I think you would enjoy it.
