Finally got some wet snow & freezing temps to keep it on top of things around here. So we went for another ride & got some nice pictures.

How much for the Ford 1 ton? :eyebrow:
I like the first picture. Is it an old school or was it a county office or something like that? My first thought was school with the bell tower and with the fire escape for the second floor, but you never know.
Jerry
I can find out for you Jim. I just gotta remember which of the 20 or so back roads it was on 1st. :alscalls:
Jerry-- I will look further into that one. I think it was a church on Sunday & a school during the week. Been too long now tho.
Any idea why it sounds like my brakes are grinding when I turn??

That bowtie on the door woulda been my first indication :laf: :laf:
Ok, ok.. :doh2: the wheel wells are full of ice.
Yeah but at least it's still driveable. I aint too sure what you'll get outta that Ford. :laf: :laf:
:laf: Ok, I'm giving you that one.
Cool pics !
I like that one of the School / Church too. Pretty cool.
:congrats: Great pics HaMeR! It doesn't look like we're going to have a winter here in NC.
Great pics! Another ditto on the old school/church house as my favorite.
:laf: @ Jim!!
Thanks guys. Diane appreciates the nice words. I noticed how cold she was after she got back in the truck on some of those. :innocentwhistle: We ended up with about 300 pics the last 2 days. :whew:
Jerry-- We talked to 2 older folks yesterday & they said that was only a School.
Great pics!
I think winter pics are my favorite followed by fall.
I used to use a bunch of black and white film years ago for winter shots, which will have to be explained to the younger generation. :laf:
A new snowfall along a river bank is one of favorite winter shots. I wonder what people think of a guy in snow cammo taking pics off of a bridge??
From the size of the school building it must have served quite a few kids. I have seen some of the old records where there would be up to 50 kids (usually winter when there weren't crops to work) in a one room school. This might have been a K-12 building. The metal fire escapes were pretty popular in the 20's when they started thinking that having "jump" as the only way out might not be the best idea.
Jerry
Thanks yotefever. I agree with the B&W pics for Winter snow scenes. I also know what B&W FILM is as well. :laf: :laf:
There wasn't any elaboration on that Jerry. I never thought to ask. With it being a 2 story I can see it housing a lot of students at one time. I never knew when the metal fire escapes came in to use either. Good thing I stopped talking long enough to listen to you this time huh?? :laf: :laf:

It is always good to see you say something besides, "Hello" and a couple of hours later "Goodbye".
Jerry
:laf: :laf: I'm guessing that one will never die!! :yoyo: :yoyo:
