We've been getting some warm days, so I decided to go fishing today. I took my boat to Laurel Lake. Got there about 10am. You woulda thought is was Labor Day weekend. The lake was packed with boats. Plus there was a fishing tournament going on too. The water temp was 49* so I was fishing kinda slow. After a couple hours with no bites, I put on a deep diving, pearl colored wiggle wart. The 1st cast, BAM!! A 17" smallmouth hit it. I was cranking it pretty fast too. So I stuck with that for a while. I caught 2 trout, then a bass that was close to 4 lbs. Not too bad for the 1st trip out this year.
