I picked up a beautiful old Remington 1100 from an older friend of mine, beautiful bluing, glass like finish on the fine wood, and miracle of miracles, a metal trigger guard :yoyo:, perfect intricate checkering, what a classy looking gun!...no changeable choke, modified only, 2 /34 shells only.

IMHO, the model 1100 shotgun is one of the best all around semi-auto's ever produced by the original Remington Firearms Company.

Went out today in the blistering sunny spring heat wave and dropped 2 crows with a classic Remington 1100 12 gauge, beautiful gun, silky bluing, gorgeous wood, fixed modified choke, used 71 1/2 shot, lotta fun!

The barrel belonged to my Dad. I've still got it. He also had a 28 inch modified barrel that went with the gun when it was sold.
