Title: Is it really March??
Post by: FinsnFur on March 25, 2012, 09:34:36 PM
I had to go through some of last years pics to see what it was like this time last year.
We had snow here and the river was still solid across the top.

I seen this while standing on the bank today.
Pretty unheard of up here.

Yeah the woods are greening up down here real good. Still another 28 days & a wakeup til Spring Turkey opens. Should have limited visibility here.

Yeah I noticed a couple days ago my apple trees out back are starting bloom.  Dogwood is already beautiful.  Wont be long now.

Getting green here BUT... We have freeze warnings for tonight and then into the high 60's for the rest of the week.

Everything is way too early around here, no winter to speak of. Friday morning, right at daybreak, a single turkey was gobbling behind the house. This morning I counted five different ones sounding off. The tweety birds have taken over all my bird boxes. Geese are pairing up, some are already nesting. Lots of rabbits hopping about too. We can't go outside without being swarmed by flying bugs of all types, they seem to be everywhere. We are going to be over run with wasps, ticks and chiggers this year.  :sad3:

:eyebrownod: Your right about that. They already said the bugs and pollen are going to be unbearable this year in areas that dont get one more late frost.
Were praying for ours yet
