Title: night time CRAPPIE

The wife and I got out last night and done some fishing under the lights had a decent night caught some nice slabs and a bunch of white bass which we threw back.

Crappie, caught in the deep lakes in Ky. and Tennessee, are my favorite eating fish.  You got something there.

Do you target them with the lights, or just try to bring in baitfish and catch whatever comes in looking for a meal?  - or are the lights just so you can see what you're doing?

Dave I use the lights to draw the bait fish (shad) and plus to see.i try to get close to under water structure like brush , the spot where we caught these I had marked on my gps before the lake came up and used my depth finder to spot the boat.the bait fish are the key though.
