Must be nice. You probably have had some rain in the past 6 weeks too! 101 (temp not heat index) here right now and a whopping .4 of an inch of rain in the past 6 weeks. My yard resembles the stubble in a wheat field and feels just about the same.
Jerry
Yeah Jerry, its been raining a lot too.
Heres me watering the yard at midnight about a week ago.

You Snow Birds need to come down south and experience some nice warm weather, 109 here a couple of days this week cc
Your crazy CC, anything over 65 and I'm locking down with the airconditioner. Maybe you guys should visit me in January? :innocentwhistle:
I ain't got enough clothes to come up there in January and I don't think I could bring enough firewood to keep me warm. cc :alscalls:
January is not bad at all. Here Jim this ought to cool ya off a bit. :alscalls:

Yep, that one worked Todd. I'd take that over this heat any day.
I'm getting close to ordering groceries over the internet so I dont have to leave the house. :laf:

Don't mean to add to your misery but I've been keeping an eye on temps for the past ten days or so of heat in the East. Our highest has been 70 on the only sunny afternoon prior to today, and the lowest was 46 one morning. Most of the time it has been between 55 and 59. Today it was sunny but cool and got up to 63. It is 55 now, same as it was when we were comparing temps I think it was last Nov. or December. No rain today.
I need to move further north. :doh2:
Geeze I'm only 8 hours from the Canadian border now.
Go west, young man, not north. Snug in beside the Japanese current.
For the folks across the Nation experiencing triple digit temperatures of which they're unaccustomed, I feel for you.
It's been rather pleasant here in South Central Texas as of late. Spring time weather almost! Staying under the triple digit mark!!
At noon it was 91°
We're only suppose to see a high of 97° today.
In fact, the extended forecast indicates we're suppose to stay in the mid to upper 90's for a high. We sure could use some rain though....
I could never live like that Fos :nono:
Heck I cant live like this :sad3:
A/C becomes your best friend!
Been extremely hot here and with no power makes it worse. Ice is a rare commodity and jard to come by. They were giving some out at the local firehouse yesterday but it didnt last long.

Holy crap man, my central air won't get it any lower then the mid to upper 70's in my house ! :laf:
Thats what this window unit does too Scott. Mid to upper 70's, but it's like an ice box when you walk in compared to out there.
Plus I have a dehumidifier running, which help tremendously.
I held that thermometer against the AC grill for a minute before I took that pic. :innocentwhistle: :eyebrownod:
