I hunted a fresh mowed field this morning , about 10 minutes in i had a skunk try to run me over :whew: I got up and got out of his way hoping i wouldnt get sprayed. I decided to continue calling and about 20 minutes later i see a coyote coming. He hung up at 180yrds pacing back and forth buy decided to come on in. He walked straight to the call without giving me a shot at 5 yrds he bolted and was leaving, i tracked him and barked at him but he wouldnt stop. So at 160 yrds i took the shot and put him down.
Good shooting! That's the hardest shot for me, tracking one for a long ways before pulling the trigger.
Good learning point to keep calling even when something disrupted the stand. At the six minute mark on a bobcat stand I had two men on quads run through on a game trail I didn't know about, roaring within 10 yards of me and within 25 yards of the e-caller. I muted the call for a minute (they never knew I was there) and then kept going. A big tom bobcat came in at 11 minutes.
Very fine shooting!!! :yoyo:
