It got ugly.
Tornado sirens, hail, and flying limbs.
The news said a tornado reported by police was rifling threw a neighboring community. (about 4 miles away)
I pulled my truck up into the front yard under the massive pine tree to block some hail, and then watched from the porch until I couldnt see anything threw the high winds and blowing rain.
I took a pic of the hail with the cellphone, before getting the Cannon out.
Crazyness!...hopefully this was the nasty heat and humidity leaving us. :congrats:

Bad news there boss. I don't like hail in the least little bit and twisters are even worse. Glad you were O.K.
Jerry
Im glad your ok Jim those storms realy bother me , How much damage did you neighbor hood sustain?
That's some big hail!! Hope your property fared well!!
I dont know if anything took a beating in the neighborhood yet. I'll probably see or hear about any today.
Everything of mine seems to be intact.
The tornado apparently only damaged one residence according to the news so far. A farm. It must touched down and lifted back up right away.
Tore off part of the house roof, trashed the barn and it looks like the silo type corn dryer partially caved in.
Glad to hear about the minimal damage to the area. :yoyo: :yoyo:
The storm sure lasted long, don't ever remember lighting and thunder going for over 8+ hours.
My wife, granddaughter (4 y/o) and I were camped up on the ridge in Wyalusing State Park. We just had dime to quarter size hail but at one point between the wind, rain, hail and acorns falling it sounded like a full auto weapon when they hit the rv two sites down from us.
I was glad there was no damage to our popup.
Sure did make a lot of noise when cars went down the road with all the acorns that were washed there the next morning.
I was surprised there were no deer around, never did see any in the park, usually you do.
Wyalusing State Park!?
You were in my backyard.... Wait a sec, thats West.... You were in my front yard!
I like that park. They got a nice little fishing hole down at the boat ramp too. Any coons visit you in the night?
Did you let your kids crawl into that little cave on the face of that rock wall? :sad3:
We all really liked the park too. My granddaughter would have liked more kids to play with but school did start already.
We didn't make it down to the boat landing but did make it to the cave. That was pretty cool. The granddaughter really liked it too. She showed no fear walking so close to the edge, glad mom wasn't there :innocentwhistle:
I didn't hear any coons but I noticed a bunch of campers leaving their coolers out. We learned in Yellowstone to not leave any food out, almost got a ticket.
I thought you lived closer to Madison, with all those friendly libs  :eyebrownod:
Here is a couple of pics
