What is that?...a creek chub?
We used to catch em like that with ice jigs too, if it is.

I think so, I had a nice brook trout keep coming up after the fly but wouldn't hit then this savage slammed the fly!

I remember my Uncle catching something similar looking to that and calling it a Fallfish (he was also catching small brookies there).  I googled it and it looks real close - and it's also in the chub family.   That was probably 40 years ago and I can't remember my anniversary.  :doh2:
