Today was opening day for fall shotgun season. I was out wandering around when I heard this guy start yelping down in the thick stuff by the creek. So I sat down and called a couple of times on a diaphram call when his head popped out of the bushes about 25 yards away. 7 3/4 inch beard and 1 inch spurs.

Looks like there will be turkey for Thanksgiving. Can you shoot hens as well as toms in the fall? We can here in Ohio and I was just wondering.

I was using one of Lonehowl's calls. I had ordered a couple of his diaphragm howlers and he threw in a couple of other calls that I thought might work in the turkey woods. And they did.
Cool deal Johnny!! Nice bird for sure! :yoyo: :yoyo:
