Great video!  Created by video animation students in Montreal.

Plus, I'm pretty sure an eagle couldn't lift a kid that size off the ground even for a second or two.  Saw some physics on it done by a biologist re Golden eagles and lambs one time.  I watched a bald eagle DRAG a smallish sockeye (4 lbs.?)  for 30 yards on the surface and barely lifted it an inch or two for a minisecond before the weight pulled them both back to where the fish was half in the water again.  Eagle dragged it to the beach.  Goldens LOOK bigger than balds but aren't.

Sorry to be a curmudgeon of reality this morning.  This such entertaining stuff! :laf:

Very well done and proof that you can't believe anything you see anymore.

You werent a curmudgeon at all. I knew it was a fake...it's been on the news all morning here as they giggle over the folks that thought it was real. Even some news anchors did as they told the alleged story.
So in hopes that you guys didnt know yet...I thought I'd have some fun before someone caught on. :laf:

From what I have heard the video was a class project, and the professor at the university where this video spawned told the students if they could get 100 hits before such n such date he would give them a 100% on the project. The video has gone viral and takin over a million hits already.

It did however get off to a rough start because the students at this University in Missouri are SO WELL KNOWN for their animation capabilities the video was raised doubt from the git go. :laf:
Pretty cool story.
Kudos to these boys who will definitely be making some coin with some filmmaker somewhere.

The deal breaker for the pros..was the fact that the shadow from the eagle does not follow it correctly according to other shadows in the clip. AND they flub the bird in flight accidentally showing it flying with only half it's wings. Obviously only noticed when the clip is slowed down.
