Title: supper saturday night?
Post by: slagmaker on January 13, 2013, 09:01:55 AM
I have a couple people asking about what i need to make my stew saturday.  I figure make a double batch that will feed about forty people.  For a double batch i need
20-30lb meet
4 heads cabbage
2 batch celery
Large bag of baby carrots
Potatos

I have means of cooking two batchs, one over a fire and one in my roaster oven but if i could get tbe use of a large iron kettle it would make it easier and free up my dutch ovens for cobbler

Slagmaker, I won't be there until sometime Saturday but I am willing to donate to help buy supplies. I will gladly chip in $50.00 in the name of Jim Champion, it's just a small token of appreciation towards the LBL gang and Jim's dedication and friendship while giving us a place to hang our hats.

Please PM me your mailing address and I'll see you get the money.

Chet

So you still need celery, cabbage, carrots and onions as well as some more meat ? Right. Doug said he had 10# and someone else is bringing a little.  I will bring carrots ,onions and celery just tell me exactly how much of each you want because I dint shop and your Idea of a large bag of carrots may be different than mine lol
